Hey y’all… Happy Sunday!😎
New to Sunday’s Song? I’ve always felt like music & reading is my escape, I find comfort in the melody, the words and more importantly, a great song is like a mini story. I mean, awesome songs tell a story, have meaning or a message. I’ve always wanted to find a way to incorporate some if my favorite songs into my blog….so SUNDAY’S SONG was born!
* Check out the lyrics in RED, they’re my favorite part!
* WARNING: I’m a child of the 70’s, grew up in the 80’s, partied in the 90’s…I’m a hippy in the making, born in Texas (and therefore must enjoy some country) and I have kids so I do like contemporary music too. In other words, I love all kinds of songs…some more explicit than others!
“Don’t Stop Believin'”
By Journey
Livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
The smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights people
Livin’ just to find emotion
Hidin’ somewhere in the night
Workin’ hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlights people
Livin’ just to find emotion
Hidin’ somewhere in the night
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to that feelin’
Streetlight people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on
Streetlight people
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to that feelin’
Streetlight people
