He asked what was wrong with me.

That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.

Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.

I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?

I’ve read one other book by Tijan that I enjoyed but I LOVED ANTI STEPBROTHER! This is an emotional coming of age story. Summer begins college believing she’s in love with her stepbrother, Kevin. She ends up falling for the “anti stepbrother”, the popular Caden. I ADORED Summer! She was beautiful and funny but self conscious, quirky and awkward. Summer had a lot of issues that as she faced them, allowed her to grow and mature. Caden was the “unattainable” bad boy on campus who was envied by all the guys and wanted by all the girls. Tijan did a fantastic job creating characters that were flawed but believable, gawky but clever. My emotions were tugged in all sorts of directions, from tears to laughter. This story definitely packed a punch mostly because I was able to relate so well with Summer. I’ve added this one to my READ AGAIN E-SHELF! Told mostly from Summer’s POV with a happy ending.
