Give Me A Reason is the first book in the Redemption Hills series and can be read as a standalone. It’s a smoking hot enemies to lovers, single dad romance!
Bad boy, Trent Lawson is gobsmacked when the sweet, Eden Murphy walks into his club looking for a second job. He knows he has to keep her safe from his past but Trent can’t seem to stay away. Especially when he learns that Eden is Gage’s (his son) beloved teacher.
I’m such a sucker for the single dad trope! I love watching the interaction between an adoring father and his precious child. And the way Trent was with his son, Gage? My freaking ovaries melted! I might love Gage’s character more than Trent’s or Eden’s… Adorable!!
Aside from Gage, I’m so stoked to read about Trent’s brothers, Jud and Logan. I’m already half in love with them too!
I also need to mention the cover. I know…it doesn’t seem like a cover should be that important. But I’m a very visual person and when the models look so much like how the characters are described? Well, it makes those steamy scenes so much better…wink, wink!
And Trent and Eden’s romance was definitely STEAMY from the moment they met in Trent’s club. Trent held a lot of guilt for things that happened in his past and it was great watching him overcome these but still, I felt like his development was a tad slow. His connection to Eden was instantaneous and obvious but a little stilted. Don’t get me wrong, I was enthralled by both Eden and Trent, just wish his development happened sooner so we could get more goodness of them together!
Ultimately, I gave this one 4 stars and a “Highly Recommend!” shout out! Told from dual POVs with a sticky sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
