THIS MONTHāS THEME:
Pride Month!
I celebrateĀ PRIDE MONTHĀ just about every year. Iām a huge advocate for human rights, all humans everywhere! Besides that, my son ācame outā to me and my husband early in his high school years, about 5 or 6 years ago now. And honestly, it wasnāt a big surprise to either if us nor did it change the fact that heās our son and we love him dearly. But what his sexuality did do was open our eyes to the prejudice, the harsh reality that although weāve come a long way and perhaps are more accepting of people that may be ādifferent,ā we still, as a whole, have a hell of a long way to go! It hurt me so much to see him losing friends or getting picked on because heās gay and so I think itās important to keep pushing for equality.
Ok, thatās about as political and tense as I like to get!š
Hereās the line up for Juneās Friday Faves:
Today…my Favorite LGBTQ+ Books!

Robbie
Love ever-changing.
And when it comes to rules of the heart,
they were made to be brokenā¦
Thatās what Robert Antonio Bianchi was telling himself, anyway.
Otherwise, he really had no excuse for whatāor whoāheād done.
No excuse, except for his lonely heart, a pitcher of margaritas, four Bitter Bitches, and the apparent need to confess all his weaknesses to the two men he knew would bring him nothing but trouble.
But trouble was nothing new.
Just ask his crazy sisters or any of his friends, and theyād be the first to tell you:
If there was a bad decision to be made, Robbie always had a knack for making it.
And thus begins the story of the priest, the princess, and the prick.

The long-awaited second book of theĀ VeneryĀ series,Ā A Charm of FinchesĀ is an epic tale of survival and secrets guaranteed to make you think and feel and remember.
From the author:
“This book contains adult subject matter including adult themes of sex and sexual violence, written in adult language.Ā An Exaltation of LarksĀ spoke of The Disappeared Ones of Chile.Ā A Charm of FinchesĀ speaks to a different group of disappeared. An invisible demographic who often suffer in misunderstood silence. Geno Caan speaks as one who knows, but he also speaks for men who will never tell their stories. Or for men who told their stories and werenāt believed. These extraordinarily brave and resilient males possess strong hearts and I stood in awe of them during the writing of this book, knowing there was a lot more I could get wrong than right.
Itās my sincere hope I got it right.”
