A Battle of Blood and Stone is Book 4 in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series and must be read in order. Yup..this one ends in a cliffy!
This book is all about Finley learning more about her powers and getting a deeper, stronger connection with Carrick. We also get a few more bits and pieces of the enigmatic Carrick’s past. But the one twist that just screwed with my brain (and my heart) happens at the end! Gah!
I’ll admit, this one wasn’t my favorite so far because I felt like a lot of the story was more of a “filler.” But there were a few scenes that got to me…may have made me shed a tear or two. (Sniff, sniff) Then I got hit with that sledgehammer of an ending and I’m all abuzz waiting for the final installment! Is Finley’s fate sealed? Will she be strong enough to defeat the evil Queen of the Underworld, Kymaris? Will Finley be able to save her twin? And what about Carrick? Is their love doomed? Eeek…so many questions!
Told from dual POVs with a WTF ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
