The Revelation of Light and Dark is the first book in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series. It has FIVE parts so yes, this is a cliffy!

So I’ve long been a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett and this is exactly why: she has the magical ability to write fascinating and intriguing characters that capture my imagination, no matter what genre she’s writing! ICYMI, this is Ms. Bennett’s first foray into the mystical but as soon as I saw the covers, I knew I had to read this series.
Let’s start with the arrogant and handsome Carrick…I think I have just as many questions about him as Finley! As off putting as his character is towards her, just like Finley, I’m itching to know more about him. What is he? Where does he come from? Why does he dislike Finley so much? I need more, more, MORE! I know this was intentionally done to pique my interest but GAH!
Then there’s Finley. From the prologue alone, she intrigued me! I won’t give anything away but I know this will be a long, evolving journey for poor Finley. For now, I’ll say that I love her work ethic, her determination, her loyalty…
I’m rating this one 4.5 stars only because I wanted the relationship between Finley and Carrick to evolve faster even though there’s four more books coming! I can’t wait to get my grabby hands on book 2! If you’re looking for a slow burning, fantastical, mysterious read with a strong heroine and a sexy hero, I highly recommend this one! Told from dual POVs (mostly from Finley) with a huge cliffhanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
