Nick Gallo lives wild and free, avoiding any complications or drama. But when he overhears a conversation at a late-night taco stand, he can’t help but insert his two cents, telling the woman she was too good for that kind of hassle.
Josephine Carmichael lives in the crosshairs of the paparazzi as the child of a Hollywood power-couple. But when her celebrity boyfriend has an affair while they’re on vacation, she takes off to the middle-of-nowhere Florida, ending up crying in her nachos.
And when Nick finds Josephine sleeping in the parking lot of a local store, his protective instincts take over. What starts out as a simple favor, takes them down a road they never imagined.
Spark is the sixth book in the new steamy romance Men of Inked: Heatwave series by Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Chelle Bliss.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Spark is book 6 in the Men of Inked: Heatwave spin-off series. It has interconnected characters but can be read as a standalone!
Josephine Carmichael is Hollywood royalty but her life isn’t all fun and easy. When she finds her boyfriend with another woman, Jo experiences the wake up call she badly needed and flees. She finds herself in the middle of nowhere without a place to sleep. Nick Gallo was raised to never turn a blind eye on a woman in need so he offers her a couch to sleep on. Their attraction is immediate but can these two opposite people find happy ever after?
This book is an easy, swexy read with light drama and a touch of suspense. I FLOVE bad boys and Nick is definitely a bad boy, hot, alpha male! I adored how possessive yet gallant he was with Jo…made my heart swoon! I also enjoyed all of the funny secondary characters, the sweet, boisterous and nosey Gallo family were hilarious. I have to admit though that Jo wasn’t my favorite heroine. I liked her well enough, I just didn’t LOVE her and I can’t quite pinpoint why?! Maybe because she didn’t feel as “strong” as the other women? I liked her f***k off attitude in the beginning but it seemed to fizzle towards the middle. Her character went back and forth between bad @ss and damsel in distress. Either one would’ve worked for me but the mix of both was a bit weird.
Regardless, this one was a fun, solid 4 stars! Told from dual POVs with a sweet but enticing end. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
