The Beginning of Everything is book 1 in The Rising series. There’s a total of 4 books so there will be a few cliffhangers…beware!!

I can’t even accurately describe the plot without giving anything away so here’s some important points to remember:

*This takes place in a parallel universe but does have similarities to THIS universe

*This is a fantasy of epic proportion with witches and warriors and such

*There’s multiple ARCs within the storyline that can be confusing… Stick with it, everything irons out!

*Understand that this is one of KA’s more “erotic” books (that may be a trigger for some) with multiple partners, ménages, rape

The Players

=”Triton’s four strongest warriors must wed its four most powerful witches, binding all nations together. There is the quiet maiden, Silence, born of Wodell.
And the savage king, Mars, born of Firenze.
And the cold warrior, Cassius, born to Airen.
And the fierce witch, Elena, born to the Nadirii.
And the steadfast soldier, True, born to Wodell.
And the banished beauty, Farah, born to Firenze.
And the pirate king, Aramus, ascended in Mar-el.

So, this one started off a bit rocky for me because there’s so much going on, it became confusing! But I kept at it. I’ve read so much of KA’s work, I had faith that everything would work out and it did! The women are strong, the men are alpha, the sex scenes are crazy hot and the storyline is intense and fast paced. So far, Mars and Silence are my favorite characters. I love how possessive Mars is of Silence! Admittedly, it’s not my favorite PNR by Ms. Ashley but it’s definitely worth continuing on to the next installment! Told from multiple POVs with an insane ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
