🌹Read My Review For New Mafia Romance: El Diablo II by M. Robinson!🌹

Release Date: September 8

The sins of the father became those of the son.

Wrath for taking what was precious to me.

Greed for the lives that were mine to kill.

Sloth for the destruction against their will.

Lust for revenge and the blood I’d spill.

Gluttony for the souls I craved.

Envy for the spirits I had yet to take.

Pride for the birthright I’d soon fulfill.

One look.
One moment.
One girl.
She was all it took for me to lose my focus.
Sienna Luciano, my eighth deadly sin.

It was the end of me, but not my legacy.
It was only the beginning of…

El Diablo’s resurrection.

Allow me to introduce myself.

I’m Crucifixio Martinez.

El Diablo IIEl Diablo II by M. Robinson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

El Diablo II is the continued story of the Martinez family. I think it can be read as a standalone but you’ll probably enjoy it more if you read the first one.

Crucifixio “Cruz” Martinez is the son of Alejandro “El Diablo” and Lexi (their romance is book 1). His most important job is to protect his family so when Cruz’s sister gets kidnapped under his watch, he quickly learns what it means to be the son of the mafia’s fearsome El Diablo. The only thing Cruz wants more than his sister’s return is the mafia princess, Sienna Luciano. But she wants absolutely nothing to do with him. Can these two put aside their differences and find happiness in the dark mafia world?

I’m rating this one 3.5 stars. Here’s why:

This very rarely happens to me but I did not like the heroine, Sienna. I know she was only 17 when we first met her but she got on my last nerve! She came off as a spoiled brat and I think Cruz even calls her that in the book. Her constant tantrums and tears really showcased her naivety. I also felt like her character was very stagnant, she didn’t start to “evolve” until almost the very end which saved the story for me but was still a bummer!

I did like Cruz but I’m blushing as I say that I loved the original Devil, his father, more. Cruz was practically a carbon copy of Alejandro though maybe he had a bit more of a conscious, just a tad more compassion that was endearing. Unfortunately, my dislike for Sienna ultimately prevented me from really feeling a connection between the two until the book was almost finished.

Having said all that, if you enjoy dark, possessive heroes, I’d still recommend this series. Although Sienna and Cruz’s romance is a slow burn, the story itself is fast paced and has twists and turns that’ll leave you tingling with anticipation! Told from dual POVs with a happy for now ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

  1. Blushing Trisy? Really?? Lol But I too do hate that kind of bratty heroines and the book will never work for me then.
