Catch Me When I Fall is the second book in the Falling Stars series but has no trouble standing on its own.

Emily Ramsey is the lead singer for country/rock band, Carolina George. They’re on the verge of a deal that will catapult them into stardom but Emily has some serious issues that are holding her back. When she meets a stranger in a bar, he was supposed to be just a hook up. Turns out, Royce Reilly is a whole lot more.

I’m a huge fan of A.L. Jackson, she simply is a master craftsman of romance. Her words are like the lyrics to a fabulous song…expressive, passionate. This book is no exception!

Royce and Emily’s relationship begins with a combustible bang and a heart rendering lie. In some ways Emily seemed so innocent, a person who needed protection. Maybe she did but I also saw the incredible inner strength that she had. The loyalty. The talent. Royce, on the other hand, made me growl in frustration at times! Of course he was tall, dark and handsome…the bad boy in a sleek suit who could make your panties fall off with a smirk. But he also had a dark past that he needed to purge and a sister who had his loyalty. I just wish he would’ve trusted Emily more!

Regardless, this one checks all my boxes: sensual, edgy, emotional, great secondary characters, a strong heroine and a hot billionaire all wrapped in a touch of intrigue. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
