Dark Prince is the first book in the Blueblood Vampires series. This is a vampire romance in a new paranormal world.
Lucca Della Morte is a powerful second generation, Blueblood vampire. He’s next in line to the throne behind his uncle and he’s cursed. Vivienne Gale is human but she’s being blackmailed by a dragon shifter…she must steal an ancient necklace from Lucca in order to save her brother, Rikkon. Vivi is forced to attend the Bloodstone institute so that she can get close to Lucca but secrets are revealed, new friendships are forged and Lucca and Vivi are forced to recognize a new beginning.
This was my first read by author Michelle Hercules and I’ll admit, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I thoroughly enjoyed delving into this dark, magical world. There’s all types of characters to tickle your fancy…vamps, witches, werewolves, mages, dragons. The storyline was unique and fantastical, draped in mystery and suspense. And of course, I loved the anti-hero bad boy, Lucca. He was brooding, fearsome. The type of guy who exuded the back off vibe that makes every woman wanna climb him like a tree!
But I rated it four stars because I felt like it could’ve been MORE. The beginning was a little hard to follow because everything is being thrown out at you in a rush. And yes, it all gets explained, Lucca and Vivi get their HEA, there’s a great lead into the next book but it all fell just shy of being complete. Again, I just wanted more “meat”. Not sure if that makes any sense but there you have it!
In the end, I was happy I scooped this one up and I’m looking forward to book two. It reads fast and I had fun with the mystical characters and the world building. A solid 4 stars! Told from dual POVs with a happy for now ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

Michelle Hercules always knew creative arts were her calling but not in a million years did she think she would become an author. With a background in fashion design she thought she would follow that path. But one day, out of the blue, she had an idea for a book.
