Breathless is book 3 in the Texas Nights Series. It has interconnecting characters but can stand completely alone.
Joey Grayson is returning to her hometown for her good friend’s wedding. She left for Florida six months earlier in an attempt to get over her romantic feelings for her best friend, Logan Carter. Logan has no idea how Jo really feels but he knows that he needs her in his life and will do anything to keep her in town.
Honestly, this is an easy read. The drama is light, there’s just a touch of suspense and the friends to lovers theme is nothing new. HOWEVER…I can’t even tell you how many times my heart swooned over this couple! Gah! Ms. Martin writes the best characters! Joey and Logan had their flaws but they felt so genuine and sincere, like they were my friends and I FLOVE that. I admired how Joey’s confidence grew throughout the story and although I pretty much guessed early on why Logan seemed sketchy, in the end, I loved the lengths that he went through for his family and for Joey.
Overall, this was a swexy standalone with a twosome that I adored so much, I’m putting them on my favorite couples list! Told from dual POVs with a sticky sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
