Hey y’all…happy Thursday!😍 This week’s book came from my Goodreads TBR (to be read). I finally got around to it a few weeks ago so you’ll get my review too!😁
Throwback Thursday is a meme where I can share some oldies but goodies…books that are older than a year and have been sitting on my Goodreads TBR for awhile or books that I’ve read & enjoyed, often from my READ AGAIN E-SHELF. I’ve seen this meme floating around for awhile now so I finally decided to jump on board. Thanks to Renee @ It’s Book Talk who started this meme…if you get a chance, go check out her blog!💖

He’ll give her more than just the tip.
I’m not looking for love at the Short Stack diner. Just pancakes.
I’ve been screwed over before, and it was the mother of all disasters. The only silver lining? My cute-as-hell daughter, Minnie.
Until I meet Valentine, the hot waitress serving us eggs and bacon.
She’s over-the-top gorgeous, with a body that makes me want to have her for breakfast. And when she sprays me in the face with whipped cream, her pink cheeks start to melt my frigid heart.
I can’t let her get to me. A scorching summer fling, sure…but that’s all my life can handle.
Once fall comes, we’re over.
Waitressing is my job of last resort. So here I am, right at rock bottom.
Dumped by my ex? Check. Back in my hometown? Double check. Making a fool of myself in front of the sexiest stranger I’ve ever seen? Nailed it.
Ryder is the kind of guy I can never have. He’s sinfully sexy…and a single dad. There’s no room for me in a life like his.
He came in for pancakes, but now I’m stuck wanting his sausage.
The tension between us has to stop. Neither of us needs this…but he’s too hot not to touch.
If only someone could remind me to stay out of the kitchen…
Single Dad’s Waitress is a steamy, sweet single dad romance with adult language, no cheating, laugh-out-loud scenes, and an HEA that will melt your heart.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Single Dad’s Waitress is Book 1 in the Main Street Single Dads series and can be read as a complete standalone.
Valentine returns to her small town,
down on her luck and broke. She’s embarrassed to have to waitress again but grateful too for the work, especially when she meets Ryder and his adorable daughter, Minnie. It’s like love at first sight, if only Ryder stays long enough to find out for sure.
This was my first read by author, Amelia Wilde and I was honestly surprised by how much I fell in love with these characters and this story! Valentine was endearing and laugh out loud funny even when she wasn’t trying. I literally sat there smiling and laughing at her antics. I FLOVE it when an author can draw that emotion out of me! Ryder was definitely a more serious character. He was dealing with some dark issues but he balanced out the story, gave it a more sober and serious feel without making it dreary. I totally enjoyed watching these two take the plunge together and of course, little Minnie was so adorable. The single dads trope always makes my ovaries SIGH!
This is a fun, flirty, easygoing read. I’m excited to add Ms. Wilde to my list of rom-com authors and looking forward to reading more! Told from dual POVs with a happy ever after. I voluntarily read and reviewed this Book.
Who else loves the single dad’s trope? Have a fabulous day y’all!💜
