THE BASTARD is book 1 in the Filthy Trilogy but also book 6 in the Dirty Rich series. If you haven’t started the Dirty Rich series, no worries, you can jump in with this book!

Eric has always been the Bastard of the affluent Kingston family. He’s the result of his father’s infidelity but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming a successful business owner. Eric meets his step sister, Harper, for the first time at a Kingston party. They’re not children, they know they shouldn’t be attracted to each other so they each make a decision to walk away. Six years later, Harper is in Eric’s office, looking for his help. Can they put aside their attraction long enough to unravel a sinister mystery?

Here’s a few things you should know:

1. This is a CLIFFHANGER!
2. Ms. Jones created a fabulous puzzle, a real mystery with twists and turns that had me quaking with anxiety.
3. Eric and Harper together? W.O.W. Their chemistry is steamy, sexy, regardless of their family connection.
4. I enjoyed this cast, even the “bad guys” and I can not WAIT to continue this journey with this group of intriguing characters.
5. Eric was so freaking smart! Ms. Jones always writes super intelligent characters but Eric had something special. I loved how DIFFERENT he was.
6. Harper, I seemed to like a bit less. Not sure why but I found myself struggling with her character. Maybe she could have been stronger?

After all is said and done, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the next book in the series. Told from dual POVs with a nail biting ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

The Princess by Lisa Renee Jones

THE PRINCESS is the second book in the Filthy Trilogy. It ends in a cliffhanger and must be read in order!

This is the continuation of Harper and Eric’s romance. There’s all kinds of pieces to the puzzle floating around. It’s up to them to figure out how they fit all while trying to establish how Eric and Harper fit in each others lives. Will this budding romance endure the mystery that hovers over them?

Here’s a bit from my review of book 1:

5. Eric was so freaking smart! Ms. Jones always writes super intelligent characters but Eric had something special. I loved how DIFFERENT he was.
6. Harper, I seemed to like a bit less. Not sure why but I found myself struggling with her character. Maybe she could have been stronger?

And here’s what you should know about book 2:

1. I’m still in awe with Eric. He’s a savant (I actually had to look up the definition of this word!), a genius actually and I loved the flashbacks to his childhood in this book.
2. I REALLY struggled with Harper! I wanted to shake her, yell at her to woman up and let the beautiful Eric do what he needed to do in order to keep them safe! GAH! I was so freaking frustrated with her!
3. I also felt like there was a lot of repetition happening, unnecessary details that seemed to make the story drag.
4. I seriously thought about giving up on this one which sucks because I was so excited after book 1. But the amazing Eric saved the day and so I settled on 3 stars.

Let’s see what happens in the next book. This one wasn’t my favorite but I need to finish the series! Told from dual POVs with another intriguing cliffy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

The third and final book in the Filthy Trilogy – Eric and Harper’s stunning finale…Passion. Lies. Family.

Eric and Harper will feel the push and pull of a dynasty gone wrong. Secrets remain. Danger is everywhere. And the pull of their forbidden love will not be ignored.

In the finale of the series, we get back to Eric and Harper, find out what secrets Eric is keeping. We also finally get all the answers to the mystery and all the masks come off!

Here’s a bit from my review of book 1 (5 stars):

Now, here’s where I landed on book 3:

1. For me, Eric was the star of the series. I totally dug his genius, his patience with Harper and his loyalty to his friends.
2. Harper managed to redeem herself (mostly). She was still frustrating but I was able to tolerate her clingy-ness better.
3. I loved how it ended! The bad guy got what was coming to him and I enjoyed how the story wrapped up.
4. I really felt like this series either could have been cut back to just two books or that there could have been more action and suspense woven into the storyline.

Overall, I’m rating the series 4 stars! I think that anyone who enjoys a sexy, suspenseful romance will ultimately appreciate this story. Told from dual POVs with a sticky sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
