“filled with flirty banter, sexual tension, and a smoking hot romance… a must-read!” – Nose Stuck in a Book
“the perfect mix of sweet, cute, funny and sexy… A wonderful read!” – Naughty Mom Story Time
Can the best of enemies become the hottest of lovers? New York Times bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds proves that opposites can be compatible—and twice as combustible…Libby Reed is over it. Or that’s what she tells herself. She’s lusted after one of New York’s bravest for years, but firefighter Antonio Moretti has doused her interest for the last time. As much as she wants the arrogant jerk (in a bad, bad way), they can’t even be in the same room without setting each other off…which might be a problem now that she’s volunteered to help out in his family’s restaurant.
Antonio’s been burned before. Now he knows better than to trust a pretty face and follow another pair of long, beautiful legs into heartbreak. But while Libby might rub him the wrong way, he can’t deny the heat between them. And it only burns hotter when she steps up in his time of need. The closer they get, the more he realizes he may have misjudged her. Then again, he doesn’t know the secret Libby’s keeping that could send their relationship up in flames before it’s even begun.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
TOSSED INTO LOVE is book 3 in the Fluke My Life series. I haven’t read the first two books in the series yet but I had no problems diving into this one! It’s a very slow burn, enemies to lovers story.
Antonio is a firefighter who is forced to help out at his parents pizzeria when his father becomes sick. Libby is very close to Antonio’s parents and volunteers to help out too. But Antonio doesn’t want Libby there and Libby can’t figure out why the man she secretly crushed on, can’t seem to stand her.
Let’s talk about characters first. I absolutely adored the cast of side characters. Libby’s neighbor, Ms. Ina, was a hoot! She bought some levity to the story that I enjoyed. As for Libby, well, I liked her. I liked her work ethic, her sense of style, the easy way she had with her friends and family. She was LIKABLE but not a super memorable heroine. I connected a bit more with Antonio, I mean who wouldn’t want a handsome firefighter cooking dinner for you?!? He acted like he hated Libby when really, he was scared of his true feelings for her. He definitely misjudged her which was not cool but he redeemed himself in the end. Again, I found myself just LIKING him, not loving him.
Don’t get me wrong, the storyline is good. It sort of builds towards the end but there’s not a whole lot of over the top drama. It’s a bit predictable yet I was still invested in the romance enough to finish the book in almost one sitting! This is a book that was entertaining but not one of my faves by Ms. Reynolds. However, if you’re looking for a light hearted read with a dash of angst and sweet characters, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
