BOY TOY (Man Hands #3)
By Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby
A brand new stand-alone comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo!
The moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I’m still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I’ve learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen years. I can’t wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.
I’ve just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don’t have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He’s everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.
I can’t possibly get involved with him. He’s too young for me. Too handsome. But he’s so persuasive…
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
BOY TOY is the third book in the Man Hands series but can be read as a standalone. I actually have not read the first two (shame on me!) but had no problems jumping right in!
Sadie is the single mother of two vivacious and adorable twin girls. On their very first day of daycare, she finds that the hunky caregiver is none other than Liam, a boy she used to babysit. Liam crushed hard on Sadie when he was 14 and when he sees her again fifteen years later, he knows he has to make his move. But Sadie is six years older than Liam. That makes her a cougar and him just a Boy Toy, right?
This is my first read from this duo and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by it! The story was entertaining and light with fun-loving characters. Sadie deserved a gold star! I mean, not only was she a single mama to twin toddlers, she was an AWESOME mama and she put up with a douche of an ex-husband. It was a little harder to connect with Liam, especially in the very beginning. Some of the things he said and did seemed a tad bit immature to me but in the end, he caught my heart. On a side note, I floved that he was a caregiver and a great one at that! SWOON!
This one is a pretty drama free story but it’s sunshiny and amusing, a humorous little tale that’ll bring a smile to your face! Told from dual POVs with a sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
