Wild Like the Wind (Chaos Book 6)
By Kristen Ashley
The brother known as Hound has a reputation. He’s all about cracking heads, having a good time, and when the Chaos Motorcycle Club needs someone to do the tough job, they call on him.
But Hound has a secret. He fell in love with a woman years ago. She’s untouchable. Unattainable. And even when her status changes, for Hound, it remains the same.
Keely Black had it all early and lost it all not long after. Thrown into an abyss of loss and grief, she’s faced a life of raising two sons alone and battling the rage at all that had been ripped from them.
Words spoken in anger open Hound’s and Keely’s eyes. For Hound, he sees he’s wasted his life loving the wrong woman. Keely sees she’s wasting her life not opening herself to the love of a good man.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
WILD LIKE THE WIND is book 6 in the Chaos series. I’m not sure if it’s labeled as a standalone or not but I’d definitely recommend reading the entire series, maybe even starting with Tack and Tyra’s story in MOTORCYCLE MAN («– 5 star read!).
Keely is no stranger to the MC world. She was married to a “brother” named Black. He was murdered 18 years prior and Keely was left to raise her two boys alone. But the Chaos MC and all the brothers helped her throughout the years, especially Hound. He had always been in love with Keely but never made a move on her since she was Black’s old lady first. Now, Keely wants more than friendship, regardless of the MCs unwritten rule and once Hound gets a taste of Keely, he finds it impossible to let her go.
So, I’ll begin by saying that I’m a huge KA fan and a huge fan of this series! Keely and Hound’s story had a bit of a different feel to it, not necessarily bad but:
(1) it was super spicy (which I had NO problem with but others might!) and
(2) although there was an underlying element of suspense with the bad guys that Chaos has been fending off for awhile, the book focused more on the relationship between Keely and Hound and the MC brotherhood. Honestly, I kinda missed the tension! But I absolutely MUST mention the epilogue and the little teasers for Rush’s story…I have a feeling it’s gonna EPIC!
Hound is probably the most bad ass-iest biker in the entire MC, even rivaling Tack. He’s protective, possessive, volatile, stormy but also loving, giving, passionate and intense. Hound is the perfect compliment to Keely, who’s also pretty tough and a self proclaimed “biker bitch”. Like I mentioned already, I loved the level of hotness that KA brought because I felt like it really represented Keely and Hound’s personalities. I mean they were WILD and free…their sex should be too, right?!?
This one was a solid 4 stars for me and I cannot wait for the next book! KA mixed it up for us with the first part of the book being completely told from Hound’s POV. But then a huge portion is told in Keely’s so no worries there! I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
