In Too Deep, an all-new sexy standalone by #1 New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner, is LIVE!
Hannah Donovan is not my type.
Intellectual and career-focused, she’s a lawyer, and an intimidatingly beautiful one, at that. I’d rather pump iron than open a book, and the only reason I’d go to court would be for a traffic ticket.
She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. So how can I turn down her plea that I pretend to be her fiancé for one weekend?
But I never expected our pretend kisses to feel so real … or for it to lead to a wild night in bed that will forever stand out as the highlight of my sex life.
Our performance convinces everyone, but it was never meant to be more than a fantasy. A short term gig before reality sets back in.
I can’t imagine ever being good enough for her, but I’m hooked. And now I’m determined to do whatever it takes to make this fake engagement real.
**In Too Deep is part of a binge read series by New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly, and #1 International bestselling author of the million copy Stark series, J. Kenner.

IN TOO DEEP is book 10 in the Man of the Month series. It has interconnected characters from previous books but can still be read alone. This is a short and sweet one!
Here’s the general gist of this series: a hometown favorite bar, The Fix on Sixth, is in need of funds to keep its doors open. As part of a fundraiser, the bar is hosting a search for hot men to grace a calendar. Each of the stories revolve around different couples and different tropes.
This is Matthew and Hannah’s story (we saw them in book 9: Easton and Selma’s story). Matthew is Selma’s brother, a successful gym owner and down right good guy. Hannah is Easton’s friend and soon to be law partner. Only she needs the money that her deceased father left for her. Unfortunately, that money is being held by her mom and stepfather. She needs a fake fiancé to prove to her parents that she’s ready to settle down. Matthew fills in perfectly…maybe too perfect!
So I’ll begin by saying that I LIKED both the plot and the characters though this isn’t my favorite couple. And this may be just a personal preference but I like my main characters to have a little more UMPH to them. Every once in awhile, Matthew and Hannah did show some of that feisty spunk that I love in my MCs but in the end they both seemed to just kinda give up. I also felt that the story ended a little abruptly. I wanted to know more about how Hannah dealt with her mom and stepdad! I’m complaining a lot but like I said…I LIKED the book well enough, I just didn’t LOVE it!
Told from dual POVs with a sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.

About J. Kenner
J. Kenner (aka Julie Kenner) is the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal and #1 International bestselling author of over seventy novels, novellas and short stories in a variety of genres.
Though known primarily for her award-winning and international bestselling erotic romances (including the Stark and Most Wanted series) that have reached as high as #2 on the New York Times bestseller list, JK has been writing full time for over a decade in a variety of genres including paranormal and contemporary romance, “chicklit” suspense, urban fantasy, and paranormal mommy lit.
JK has been praised by Publishers Weekly as an author with a “flair for dialogue and eccentric characterizations” and by RT Bookclub for having “cornered the market on sinfully attractive, dominant antiheroes and the women who swoon for them.” A five time finalist for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award, JK took home the first RITA trophy awarded in the category of erotic romance in 2014 for her novel, Claim Me (book 2 of her Stark Trilogy). Her Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series (as Julie Kenner) is currently in development with AwesomenessTV/Awestruck.
Her books have sold over three million copies and are published in over twenty languages.
In her previous career as an attorney, JK worked as a clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced primarily civil, entertainment and First Amendment litigation in Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Central Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and two rather spastic cats.
