Welcome to a new addition to Bobo’s Book Bank: THROWBACK THURSDAY! This is a meme where I can share some oldies but goodies…books that are older than a year and have been sitting on my TBR for awhile or books that I’ve read that are sitting on my READ AGAIN E-SHELF! I’ve seen this meme floating around for awhile now (Mischenko at Read Rant Rock and Roll & Susan at Susan Loves Books ) and probably a whole bunch of other fantastic blogs. So I finally decided to jump on board. Thanks to Renee @ It’s Book Talk who started this meme! If you get a chance, go check them out!😆😆
This Week’s Pick:
They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it’s true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover.
Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him.
She is a starving artist. Pretty and evasive like cherry blossom. Ten years ago, she barged into my life unannounced and turned everything upside down. She paid the price.
Emilia LeBlanc is completely off-limits, my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman who knows my darkest secret, and the daughter of the cheap Help we hired to take care of our estate. That should deter me from chasing her, but it doesn’t. So she hates me. Big fucking deal. She better get used to me.
My Review (January 2017):
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
So every once in awhile, I come across a book or author that just WOWS me. Vicious is definitely one of those! LJ Shen is a new author to me but I’ll absolutely be reading more. First, I have to say that Vicious is not your average alpha hero…he’s an ass! BUT, there’s a reason why he is and Ms. Shen does an excellent job of showing the reader all of the grueling emotions and horrible situations that Vicious goes through. This book is all about the thin line between love and hate. It’s not pretty and fluffy but in the end, it’s real and touching! Putting this one on my READ AGAIN E-shelf. Told from dual POVs with a bittersweet ending.
Have you read this book?
