THE WRIGHT SECRET is a standalone although it follows several books (three previous books) from the same family. It’s the first I’ve read from author K.A. Linde but I had no problem jumping right into this boisterous family! This one’s a friends to lovers, office type romance and also one of my favorite tropes…brother’s best friend.

Morgan Wright has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Patrick, for years. When she FINALLY decides to make a move on him, Patrick begins to see her as more than just his friend’s baby sister. But it’s tough on CEO Morgan to balance their affair with work.

There’s kind of a reversal of roles between Patrick and Morgan and I gotta say…I totally enjoyed that! Morgan was career driven, fierce in the office, tough on herself but also devoted to her brothers and sister, loyal. She was more of the “dominant” in this relationship. Patrick was laid back, sweet and understanding, almost goofy though he’s pretty fierce in his feelings for Morgan. He’s the “submissive”. Fortunately, this backwards dynamic doesn’t follow them in the bedroom since Patrick has no problem taking charge there!

These two fit together so well. I loved how supportive Patrick was of Morgan, how he enjoyed taking care of her. So sigh worthy! And I found myself cheering Morgan on as she learned to balance work and love. Plus, the secondary characters were fabulous. They really enforced how important family was to Morgan. I’d actually like to go back and read the other books because Morgan’s siblings, Jenson, Austin, Landon and Sutton have such a close knit, interesting family…I want more!

Overall, this was a well written, sweet but sexy read. Told from dual POVs with a happy ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
