Drawn to Him: A Romance Collection by K. Webster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
DRAWN TO HIM is a collection of romance that should satisfy all kinds of readers! There’s billionaires, doctors, cops and judges, second chances and new beginnings, bad boys and good girls, sweetness and darkness. Like I said, something for everyone! These are all novella type stories so not too long. If you haven’t read any of these authors (and if you haven’t, are you nuts?!?! LOL!) you can pick up this book and try out one or all! (I know, I sound like a saleswoman!). I loved that each story was complete, I could invest an hour or so here and there and finish a story…very satisfying when I’m in a hurry. I’m not going to review EACH of the eight stories but with authors like Willow Winters, LJ Shen and Jade West, you truly can’t go wrong. Told from various POVs with happy endings. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
You know the kind. Â They steal the breath from your lungs and make your heart beat a little faster with a single look. Â You canât stop staring, but the moment they pin those gorgeous eyes on you, youâre done for.
The kind thatâs too hard to resist.
This is a collection of men just like that.
Handsome, confident and all for you.
These are the other authors involved with this collection, M. Never, L.J. Shen, K. Webster, Jade West, Isabella Starling, A. Zavarelli and K.L Kreig.
âYouâre very handsome, Mr. Kulls.â Â I finally give in to a bit of my desire, and pick up the glass of wine, holding on to it for support in this decision.
His grin widens and he leans forward just slightly to say, âAlec, Lila. Â My name is Alec to you.â Â He pauses for a moment, then flashes me a smirk and adds, âUnless of course youâd like to scream ‘Mr. Kulls’ in bed?â
My face heats instantly as he rises from his seat to attend to the beeping oven and he’s quick to say, âI do believe Alec may be easier.â
The sweet wine touches my lips and the taste is delicious, but I canât think of anything other than this man on top of me, making me scream as he thrusts inside of me repeatedly.
âI think youâve maybe thought a little too far ahead, Mr.- Alec,â Iâm quick to correct myself. Â I watch as he works in the oven, turning the chicken breasts and then setting the tongs back down on the counter before coming back to his seat.
âThis isnât very professional,â I tell him with a serious look, or at least the most serious I can manage. Â He shrugs his shoulders and then takes a sip from his glass.
âDo you want it to be?â he asks and then adds, âThatâs fine if you do. Â I understand the attraction may only be on my end.â
My heart thumps hard in my chest. Â I donât think this man knows how to be subtle. Â Heâs honest and to the point. Â But I admire that.
âItâs definitely not just one-sided,â I admit, and then bite my tongue. Â I’m thinking I should add that this is dangerous for me. Â I could lose my job. Â More than that though, this man could crush me. Â Iâve never had a one-night stand because I know I donât really do casual. Â Iâve been wined and dined and then thrown away before. Â It hurts too much.
I donât recover easily, and I prefer to avoid relationships. Â But itâs been so long since Iâve been touched.
âSo, tomorrow?â he asks me, and my brow furrows with confusion.
âTomorrow?â I repeat.
He smiles at me, and the smell of his cologne, or maybe his natural scent hits me with a powerful force that makes me lean in closer to him.
âWould you like to go out with me tomorrow?â he asks.
His gray eyes swirl with a mixture of desire and something else–a desperate need. Â I nod my head slowly and say, âIâd love to.â
Hahah no I’m not nuts Trisy đ
